How Our Ice Cream is Made
The Secret to a Special Flavour

From Inspiration to Cone
- Mojito Ice Cream: The complete freshness of the classic cocktail, perfectly balanced.
- Orange-Basil: The interplay of juicy orange and tart herbal notes.
- Vegan Chocolate-Orange Ice Cream: An intense mix of dark chocolate, orange, basil, rosemary, and a surprising crunch, which we created especially for Gelato Week 2026.
What ingredients do we use for new ice cream flavours?
For us, good ice cream starts with good ingredients. When developing a new flavour, we not only consider what tastes good together, but also how the ingredients will develop in the final ice result.
We work with our own recipes and pay attention to a careful selection of ingredients. We avoid palm oil and synthetic colourings, and instead rely on natural ingredients and selected raw materials.
For fruit ice cream varieties, the natural taste of the fruit is our focus. Therefore, our fruit ice cream varieties contain a high fruit content of over 50%.
Sometimes it's precisely these small details – an herb, a spice, or a crunch – that turn an idea into a special flavour.

How do we test a new ice cream flavour?
That depends on the flavour. Some ideas develop faster, others require several attempts until everything is just right.
After our internal tests, a new flavour goes into our ice cream showcase. There, we gather feedback from our customers, as this feedback is very valuable to us.
We listen carefully and take honest feedback seriously. Sometimes, our customers' feedback helps us to make a flavour even better.
Only when a creation convinces us and is also well received by our customers does it become a new B-iced ice cream flavour.
